Writing Activity Using Superlatives

   I follow a lot of the writing activities using the five different writing traits. One of the activities I do with my class is a writing activity based on the story - Things That Are the Most by Judi Barrett.

After laughing and discussing the words and images, we come up with our own silly sentences. Here is a sampling of some of their sentences.

The silliest thing in the world is a pie dancing in a cup.

The silliest thing in the world is a school flying.

The funniest thing in the world is a dragon dancing in school.

The silliest thing in the world is a pencil reading a book.
